We’re looking for a Market Sector Leader to add to our Civil Engineering team who is focused on public infrastructure projects and business development and has at least 15+ years of experience.  This role will support our land development, energy & public infrastructure projects.



Responsibilities include:

Market Strategy and Business Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive market sector strategy to expand our presence and market share in the public infrastructure sector.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including client acquisition and strategic partnerships.

  • Lead proposal development, presentations, and negotiations to secure new projects.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for major public infrastructure clients, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and service delivery.

Project Leadership and Management:

  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of public infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Monitor project performance, financials, and risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Team Development and Mentorship:

  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, project managers, and support staff.

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and teamwork within the public infrastructure team.

Industry Engagement and Thought Leadership:

  • Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and professional associations.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.



The set of qualifications we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the public infrastructure sector, with a proven track record in business development and project management.

  • Strong network of industry contacts and established relationships with public infrastructure clients.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets and financial performance. Including contract administration and construction observation.

  • Strong delegation skills to coordinate the work of the project team, including the coordination of the project with the review agencies.

  • Proven ability serving as the liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and other consultants on the project team.

  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.



Physical Requirement:

  • The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation.

  • Occasional travel to Client facilities and project sites require ability to be physically mobile in the field and construction sites.

Compensation

$130,000 - $160,000
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
